When spring refuses to come to State College, we go after it across the Atlantic.

In collaboration with the University of Zurich's Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene and Functional Genomics Center Zurich, instructors from Zurich (H. Rehrauer), Penn State (J. Kovac) and Cornell University (L. Carroll) have co-taught a 3-day Next Generation Sequence Data Analyses workshop. We have trained fifteen food safety and life scientists on how to use whole genome sequencing and RNA sequencing to answer their scientific question. It was a lot of fun and we hope participants are already using their new skills exploring their data!
