Andy holds a bachelor's degree in Food Science from Penn State University and a master's degree in Management and Leadership from Liberty University. He is also a certified ServSafe instructor and proctor. His focus is providing food safety education to industry professionals, volunteer organizations, and individuals. He also serves as the state Retail and Consumer Food Safety Team leader. 

Prior to joining Extension, Andy worked for the Hershey Company as a microbiologist. He was involved in developing environmental monitoring programs, incident troubleshooting, and supported Hershey's global laboratory network as the manufacturing lab coordinator. Andy also has experience in the retail food industry and worked as a restaurant inspector.
