Undergraduate students presented their research at the GSD Research Expo

Sarah and Caitlin have received competitive funding from Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences for their research projects that are providing new data on conditions needed for effective thermal inactivation of Salmonella on cocoa.
Thomas presented his research on evaluating the sensitivity and specificity of genotype-based prediction of antimicrobial resistance in Bacillus cereus group which comprises foodborne pathogens, biocontrol agents and anthrax-causing microorganisms, among others.
