Thanks to all the students and faculty of the University of Puerto Rico - Aguadilla for attending the whole genome sequencing workshop on November 17, 2018.

As a continuation of student and faculty exchanges between Dudley and Kovac labs at the Penn State Department of Food Science and University of Puerto Rico - Aguadilla, Dr. Kovac gave a bioinformatics workshop to 24 faculty and undergraduate students at the University of Puerto Rico - Aguadilla.

A group of UPR - Aguadilla undergraduate students was introduced to whole genome sequencing and bioinformatics during their Summer 2018 research visit in a frame of the USDA REEU project "Bugs in my Food", led by Ed Dudley.

In a follow-up workshop in Puerto Rico, Dr. Kovac presented a whole genome sequencing analyses pipeline developed and supported by the Food and Drug Administration's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, and Genome Trakr network.
