Our lab was proud to be represented at the FAO World Food Forum in Rome, where Auja Bywater presented alongside Alejandra Armesto as part of the Pennsylvania State University Academic Delegation. The team shared insights on reducing food waste in North America and announced plans to launch a free online module later this year to showcase practical strategies for waste reduction.
Auja also co-led a session for the Penn State Youth Food Lab, guiding young innovators through the challenges of overcoming the "Valley of Death" in food entrepreneurship. This session highlighted global perspectives on turning research into real-world solutions.
We extend our gratitude to Penn State faculty who supported this initiative: Melanie Miller Foster, Maria Spencer, Noel Habashy, Daniel Foster, Jesse Torba, and Mark Gagnon.
