This site is designed to deliver current food safety information and resources to extension educators, the food industry, and consumers. Utilization of the latest database technologies has allowed us to create a user-friendly environment for quick retrieval of information on the latest food safety issues as well as activities and resources available at Penn State University.

Extension and Outreach
Outreach activities connect the resources of the Department of Food Science with our stakeholders in Pennsylvania and beyond by offering current, accurate, and research-based food science information. Faculty members with Cooperative Extension appointments are the primary delivery sources for outreach programs. However, each faculty member seeks to integrate their teaching and research programs in service to food industry professionals and community members.
