Master's students are required present their thesis to the committee and pass an oral examination.
Final Oral Examination
Upon completion of the thesis, the student shall be required to pass an oral examination given by the individual's graduate committee. This examination shall cover both course work and the thesis.
Thesis Presentation Procedure
The thesis must be presented to the members of the committee two weeks prior to the scheduled Final Oral Examination. The thesis must be in the format acceptable for submission to the Graduate School. The majority of the committee members must agree to proceed with the defense one week prior to the scheduled Final Oral Examination
