Congratulations to Jingzhang (Barry) Feng for a College of Agricultural Sciences undergraduate research grant award.

Barry joined the lab in Spring 2019 to gain experience with microbiological food safety research.

He will start investigating the efficacy of biocontrol strains to inhibit pathogen in mushroom growth substrate in Spring 2019. His research project is a collaborative effort between the Penn State Department of Food Science (Kovac and LaBorde labs) and the Penn State Mushroom Research Center.
